General characteristics
Now Galaxy Communicator supports reports of the following servers:
The configuration file should be placed to the same directory with the
reports.
The history file is created in and loaded from the report directory.
The macro file should be in the same directory
with the Gcomm main executable, and should have a name gcomm.mac.
For the most part, the window interface is the same as there is in the
GV © Dmitry Gurtjak (later GV). The command menu is located in the local
object menu, but it is still callable by Ctrl+F10.
History
GComm automatically keeps records of all planets, races and ship types
in the file gcomm.his. hen a new report is loaded, this information is
automatically updated.
Report join
Galaxy Communicator allows to join reports of different players for the
same turn in the same game, so that the report loaded with Open command
is treated as Master (i.e. the orders will be written for the Master race),
the report loaded with the Join command is treated as Slave.
This version allows to join reports from Blind and Super-Blind games
(Sargona). Joining the reports from super-blind games is possible if the
intersection of the visibility areas consists af at least three planets.
The following lists are joined:
-
Race (for blind games)
-
Ship types
-
Ship groups
-
Planets
-
